Strong winds and heavy snowfall will create dangerous avalanche conditions throughout the day. Shady slopes facing north to east, where new slabs form over weaker snow, will be the most likely places to trigger an avalanche large enough to injure or bury you. Sticking to wind-sheltered slopes will help reduce your risk.
