Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS hard and soft slabs up to three feet in depth lie upon weak layers of buried surface hoar and depth hoar. Slabs were triggered on approach by skiers yesterday and are likely to be easily triggered by humans who venture onto them today. Good terrain evaluation and route selection skills are essential for travel in avalanche terain today.
