Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe, but you could trigger a small avalanche in old, dense drifts of snow at upper elevations. The most likely areas are where you find lens-shaped pillows of snow on very steep slopes directly below ridgelines and along gully walls. If you experience cracking head to lower-angled or sheltered slopes. If you do trigger a slide, it could step down to weak layers close to the ground.
