Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth formed primarily by recent strong winds lie upon a snowpack comprised primarily of faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered by snowmobiles and possibly by skiers or boarders on steep wind loaded slopes today and once triggered would likely pull out deeper layers of snow. Yesterday snowmobiles and Thursday a snowboarder were able to trigger several hard and soft slabs on various aspects on Angle Mountain.
