Highlights

Soft slabs up to two feet in depth exist in wind loaded upper elevation starting zones. These slabs lie upon slick early season crusts and faceted snow and are likely to be easily triggered in cliff areas and steep terrain. Isolated pockets of slab could also be triggered on steep wind loaded northerly aspects at the mid elevations. Be aware of terrain traps.
