Highlights

Pockets of soft slab up to two feet in depth exist in steep wind loaded upper elevation starting zones and have been human triggered during the past two days. These surface slabs may release naturally as temperatures warm and have the potential to pull out deeper snow layers all the way to the ground. The hazard at all elevations will increase as the snowpack softens. Sunballs and wet slides are likely on steep sunlit aspects.
