Forecast Snow Stability: Windslab will continue to form in wind sheltered locations on mainly North-West through North to East aspects above 900 metres. Steeper locations such as gully tops and sharply defined corrie rims will be worst affected. Cornices will be fragile. Elsewhere the snow will be generally well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: Light snowfall during the day above 750 metres. Light, increasing to moderate, generally Southerly winds. Freezing level 700 to 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Light, intermittent snow showers above 600 metres. Strong South-Westerly winds. Freezing level around 750 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Very patchy snow below 800 metres. Above this altitude the majority of the snow is well bonded and stable. Drifting deposits have formed windslab in wind sheltered locations on North-West through North to East aspects above 900 metres. Deepest accumulations are present in gully tops and around steep corrie rims, where deposits are moderate to poorly bonded. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
