Avalanche Summary

Snowpack Summary

Lingering pockets of snow can be found in Alpine and treeline areas.  The avalanche danger associated with these areas varies highly depending upon the termperatures at the time.  Warm temps typically mean loose wet snow that has potential to avalanche.  Frozen snow is generally stable and less likely to avalanche.  So, timing is everything...  Information about common spring problems can be found at https://avalanche.ca/spring and also https://www.mountainconditions.com/
