Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh accumulations of windslab will build during the day. These areas will be isolated and avoidable and will be confined to steep wind sheltered locations, such as gully tops and coire rims on North to East aspects above 850 metres. The old snow pack will be stable and well bonded throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light showers throughout the forecast period, mainly falling as snow above 800 metres. Gale force South-Westerly winds will ease to become strong South-South-Westerly. Freezing level fluctuating around 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It was a morning of heavy and persistent rain gradually turning to snow above 700 metres. This eased to leave a mainly dry afternoon. Gale force South-Westerly winds with the freezing level around 800 metres at midday. ObservedSnowStability: A fresh dusting of snow lies above 700 metres on all aspects. This is generally shallow and overlies bare ground but where it has developed depth, windslab is present on North to East aspects above 850 metres. These isolated areas are easily avoided. Old remaining snow patches are stable and well bonded throughout. The avalanche hazard is Low.
