Some fresh snow and in particular the mostly small wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence above approximately 2400 m. Wind slabs can sometimes be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases. Dry slab avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. This applies especially on steep slopes adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. As the day progresses in these regions there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches.

The northwesterly wind has transported the new snow and, in some cases, old snow as well. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs formed. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to significant moistening of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes.
