Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence above approximately 2000 m. Moist and wet avalanches are possible from the morning.

Dry avalanches can be released in deeper layers in particular on very steep east, north and northwest facing slopes. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular below approximately 2300 m.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of the strong wind the wind slabs will increase in size moderately. The high temperatures as the day progresses will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack in all aspects below approximately 2300 m.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
