Avalanche Activity

In some localities a little new snow.

In the last few days wind slabs formed in particular at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. The fresh wind slabs are mostly very small and can only be released in isolated cases. This applies in particular above approximately 2700 m on very steep slopes.

Snowpack Structure

10 to 20 cm of snow has fallen since yesterday above approximately 2500 m. Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. Faceted weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on steep shady slopes.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
