Highlights

Especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on wind-loaded slopes small and medium-sized slab avalanches are possible. Single backcountry tourers can release avalanches in some places, including medium-sized ones. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist loose snow avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular on steep south facing slopes at low and intermediate altitudes.
