Forecast Weather Influences: Heavy rainfall overnight easing to showers during the day. Very mild: freezing level rising to over 2000m overnight, becoming 1700m later. Very strong South South Westerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Cold overnight with frequent occasionally heavy snow showers, easing a little during the day. Strong and turbulent West South Westerly airflow throughout. Some warmth from the sun during occasional cloud breaks. Noticeably milder from early afternoon onwards. No rainfall at the time of reporting. ObservedSnowStability: Continuous drifting led to deep and widespread weak windslab development on most North through East to East South East aspects above 900m. Noticeably better stability at depth in all snow at lower altitudes. Good stability on all recently wind exposed locations. Widespread minor surface point releases and roller ball activity below 850m on recent lee slopes. The area was unaffected by rainfall at the time of reporting. The avalanche hazard is Considerable
