5 to 10 cm of very wind affected snow sits on a supportive crust. At upper elevations, deeper deposits of wind-loaded snow may exist, up to 30 cm deep. These small wind slabs are likely quite stubborn, but may still be possible to trigger in isolated high elevation areas.
The remainder of the snowpack has no current layers of concern.
The alpine snowpack depth around White Pass is approximately 180 cm, with the depth at treeline measuring around 80 cm.
