Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be favourable over a wide area. A clear night will be followed in the early morning by favourable conditions generally.

Gradual decrease in danger of moist and wet avalanches as the temperature drops. Only isolated avalanches are possible as the day progresses. In the event of solar radiation this applies in particular on rocky slopes. The wind slabs of last week can still be released in some cases at elevated altitudes.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack consists of rounded crystals. This applies in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust. The spring-like weather conditions will give rise to rapid settling of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes there is still a very large amount of snow.
