Forecast Snow Stability: Little if any new snow expected to accumulate on steep North aspects above 1000m. Some residual wet instability will persist in old snow mainly on South-East to South aspects above 850m. Elsewhere, the much reduced patchy snowpack will be wet but generally well stabilised. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light persistent rain overnight and during the day turning to sleet briefly over summits for a time in the morning. Strong West-South-West winds becoming Southerly after dawn. Generally mild with a brief cooler interlude in the morning. Observed Weather Influences: Mild and very wet with persistent heavy rain overnight easing by dawn but continuing throughout the day. Strong West-South-Westerly airflow. ObservedSnowStability: Heavy thaw conditions have left the snowpack wet and much reduced in all locations. Minor wet snow or full depth avalanche activity overnight on a steep South-East aspect during very heavy rainfall. Some residual wet snow instability remains on steeper South-East to South aspects above 850m. The avalanche hazard is Low.
