The snow pack is mostly stable. Cooler temperatures have decreased the potential for wet slides to occur at the mid and upper elevations. Beware of unstable snow on isolated terrain features. Use caution as even small slides can be dangerous in steep couloirs and cliff areas.

Another round of rain and snow is expected overnight. The rain snow line is forecast to drop to the valley level by morning. This pulse of moisture could bring three to five inches of new snow to the mountains. Skies will be cloudy on Wednesday with decreasing chances of rain and snow showers. Temperatures will once again be in the 20s and 30s in the mountains and in the 30s to 50s in the valleys. Winds will be southwesterly at 5 to 15 miles per hour with higher gusts.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be low. Shallow wet slides involving the recent new snow are possible on very steep terrain features and in cliff areas. Use caution as even small slides can be dangerous in very steep terrain. Conditions can change rapidly. Monitor conditions and avoid steep slopes if snow surfaces become wet and unstable.
