Avalanche Activity

Considerable avalanche danger will prevail.

The avalanche prone locations are numerous. As a consequence of new snow and wind, deep wind slabs formed. Natural avalanches are further possible. Backcountry touring calls for extensive experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and great restraint.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow and wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack in all aspects. Weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. The weather conditions will give rise to moistening of the snowpack.

Tendency

The wind will be moderate. Continuous warming to 2800 m.
