Forecast Snow Stability: Stability will be generally good. However, minor surface wet snow instabilities will become increasingly possible mainly on steep North-East to South-East aspects above 900 metres. Gully tops and coire rims will be mostly affected. Cornices will be prone to collapse. Stability will improve later in the afternoon as temperatures drop. There will be a dusting of fresh snow above 600 metres, though amounts not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Fresh to strong South-Westerly winds will veer Northerly during the afternoon. Drizzle and rain in the evening, then dry in the early hours followed by rain and snow showers late morning and afternoon. The freezing level will be above the summits then lower to around 700 metres during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Mainly dry throughout the forecast period. Partly cloudy with some sunny spells. The freezing level rose above the summits overnight and remained there during the day. Strong Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Stability is generally good. Windslab accumulations found mainly on North-East to South-East aspects above 900 metres continue to slowly consolidate. Recently developed overhanging cornices are weak. The older snowpack has good stability and exhibits a soft surface layer. There is a slow and gradual thaw at all elevations. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
