New snow requires caution.
Over a wide area 15 to 30 cm of snow fell yesterday above approximately 1900 m. The fresh snow and the small wind slabs formed during the snowfall can be released by a single winter sport participant. This applies in particular on steep slopes at intermediate and high altitudes, as well as in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Low and intermediate altitudes: In particular on very steep slopes small and medium-sized gliding avalanches and moist snow slides are possible as the penetration by moisture increases.
The fresh snow and the mostly small wind slabs that are forming at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions will be deposited on a crust in particular on sunny slopes above approximately 2000 m. The fresh snow will be rather moist. The sleet will give rise to moistening of the snowpack below approximately 1800 m.
In the regions where more snow falls the avalanche danger is greater.
