Det er mogeleg å løyse ut skred på vedvarande svake lag i snøen. Det har vore observert flest fareteikn på Haukelifjell, og dette området vert då ansett som det mest utsatte i regionen.

Snowpack Structure

Under 1000–1200 moh er snødekket fuktig og prega av mildvêr dei siste dagane. Det er generelt lite snø i terrenget, mest i lesider mot aust. Svake lag av kankorn er framleis tilstades og drønn viser at det let seg påverke

Tendency

New snow and wind will increase the avalanche danger. In the high mountains, there are persistent weak layers in the snowpack that can be affected by the precipitation. The most precipitation, and the greatest increase in avalanche danger, is expected in the area around Haukelifjell.
