Forecast Snow Stability: The winds will redistribute recent snow deposits with new localised pockets of unstable windslab developing on North-West through North-East to East aspects above 900 metres. Steep wind sheltered locations such as coire rims and gully tops will be most affected particularly where accumulations develop over old snow. Elsewhere, areas exposed to the winds will be very icy. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Cold overnight but freezing level lifting to above the summits during the day. Dry throughout. Winds strengthening from the South, veering to the South-South-West for most of the day. Observed Weather Influences: Snowfall overnight was followed by a cold clear day. Winds were light and variable. ObservedSnowStability: There was a thin covering of snow on most aspects above 500 metres. Most of this was cosmetic but there were isolated unstable deposits found mostly on North-East through South-East to Southerly aspects above 800 metres. These areas were restricted to wind sheltered features such as gully tops, corrie rims and steep convex slopes. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
