Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations dangerous dense slabs up to three feet in depth formed by west to southwest winds exist. These slabs lie upon a weak layer of buried surface hoar and a faceted October snowpack. These slabs could be triggered on steep wind loaded aspects. At the lower elevations the snowpack is shallow and avalanches are unlikely.
