Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations new snow, strong Southwest winds, and increasing temperatures have deposited soft slabs to three feet in depth that could be triggered by backcountry users on steep avalanche paths. At the low elevations isolated pockets of soft slab could be triggered on very steep slopes and terrain traps should be avoided. The Teton Mountain lodge will be hosting a benefit party with raffle prizes for the Avalanche Center Support Org. at the Cascade Bar in Teton Village today from 2 to 6 pm.
