Highlights

At the upper elevations pockets of soft slab up to one foot in depth have formed in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas. These slabs lie on a hard layer of old snow which will provide a good sliding surface and are likely to be easily triggered. Avalanches are unlikely in areas not underlain by this old snow surface.
