Highlights
Avalanches are unlikely today in the shallow snowpack at the mid and upper elevations and not possible at the low elevations where slopes lack snow. The recent and current cold dry weather is weakening the snowpack causing the developement of faceted snow well into the snowpack and the production of surface hoar on the surface.
