Triggering a large avalanche is difficult right now, but strong winds and new snow increase your chances of triggering a small avalanche at upper elevations. Exercise caution on steep wind-drifted slopes that look smooth or wave-like. Dense, hard snow drifts could exist below ridgelines or along the sides of gullies and couloirs and are most likely on north to northeast through east-facing slopes.
