Triggering a large dangerous avalanche is becoming more difficult. If you were to trigger an avalanche it would likely be on a shallow area of the slope where it is easier to impact weak buried layers. Likely trigger points exist near rock outcroppings, on steep rollovers, and below ridges and cliff bands.
You can find safer riding options below treeline, or on low-angled, wind-sheltered slopes without steep overhead hazards.
