Avalanche Summary
Recent warm weather and rainfall have melted and compacted the snowpack, forming sturdy surface crusts. There are also very few slopes where you can trigger an avalanche due to an unusually shallow snowpack. The few slopes you should approach with caution are where you find a thin slab of wind-drifted snow in the alpine on north-facing slopes.
