Highlights

At the upper elevations pockets of soft slab up to one foot in depth exist in the wind loaded start zones of known avalanche paths. These slabs could be triggered by backcountry users and on shaded aspects have potential to step down to a weak layer of faceted snow at the base of the snowpack.
