Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche on a buried weak layer, resulting in a dangerous slide. You may not get any warning signs before you trigger a deeper slide. Shallow slopes with lots of rocks, trees, and convex rolls will be the most dangerous slopes. You can find safer travel by avoiding steep slopes on the northwest through north to east slopes, and by seeking out other aspects without wind-drifted snow.
