Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. However, you might be able to trigger a small avalanche where you find drifts of snow 6 inches or more deep. Look for isolated areas of drifted snow at upper elevations, particularly northeast through east to southeast-facing slopes. Steep, open slopes that sit directly below ridgetop are where you will find the most recent loading. Although small, these avalanches can be dangerous if they drag you over rocks or into a gully.
