Avalanche Summary

Winds will shift to the west and increase throughout the day. With plenty of new snow for transport, consider avoiding fresh slabs in steep terrain, especially if they are more than a foot deep. You might be able to trigger a smaller avalanche in freshly drifted snow, or a more massive and destructive one that breaks deep in the snowpack on shadier slopes. To manage these tricky conditions, ratchet down your terrain choices and seek lower-angle slopes in wind-sheltered terrain.
