Avalanche Summary

The most dangerous slopes are where you find firm, wind-drifted snow on the lee side of a ridgeline. If you notice cracking in the snow around you or the snow feels stiff and hollow, stick to slopes less than about 35 degrees steep. Wind-sheltered slopes with less than about a foot of new, soft snow offer safer travel options.

Expect the danger to increase throughout the weekend with an incoming storm Saturday evening.
