A thin snowpack and generally safe avalanche conditions exist. You might be able to trigger a small avalanche on wind-loaded slopes generally above 12,000 feet. Avoid traveling on steep, wind-loaded slopes where even a small avalanche could knock you over and take you for a rocky, dangerous ride.
