Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of warming wet avalanches are possible as the day progresses.

The early morning will see favourable conditions generally. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase gradually. Individual gliding avalanches can also occur. Backcountry tours should be concluded timely.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a strong crust. The high temperatures from the early morning will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack. In particular on sunny slopes as well as at low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
