Snowfall to 1600 m. The southwesterly wind will transport the new snow. This snow as well as the wind slabs that are forming above all adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls are bonding poorly with the old snowpack. Small and medium-sized natural avalanches are possible. Wind slabs can in isolated cases be released, even by a single winter sport participant. Large-grained weak layers exist in the old snowpack on near-ridge shady slopes. Weak layers in the lower part of the snowpack can be released in very isolated cases by people here.
The old snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a crust. The new snow will be deposited on a crust in all aspects. The sometimes storm force wind will transport the new snow. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes. In all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.
As a consequence of new snow and wind the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses.
