The snowpack remains generally well bonded. In particular at low and intermediate altitudes only a little snow is lying on south facing slopes. Above the tree line snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.

The wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads,. Very isolated avalanche prone locations are to be found especially in extremely steep terrain above approximately 1800 m. Very isolated small avalanches are possible. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.
