Tendency

In the neighbouring regions and at intermediate and high altitudes the danger of dry avalanches will increase a little. The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level.

Avalanche Activity

In the evening the natural activity of dry avalanches will gradually increase, especially in high Alpine regions.

The avalanche prone locations are to be found on extremely steep slopes above approximately 2900 m. The mostly small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases. This applies in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. With the onset of the precipitation, the natural activity of small dry avalanches will gradually increase, especially on steep slopes at intermediate and high altitudes, as well as adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas.

Snowpack Structure

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be severely restricted in some places. In some localities up to 20 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall on Thursday above approximately 2200 m. In these regions in all altitude zones hardly any snow is lying. On sunny slopes as well as below approximately 2300 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack on shady slopes.
