Forecast Snow Stability: Localised accumulations of fresh unstable windslab will continue to develop mostly affecting steep North-East through East to South aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations will be generally shallow and mostly found in sheltered locations such as gully tops and coire rims. Elsewhere the old snowpack will be firm, well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Very strong North-Westerly winds with snow overnight as Storm Corrie passes. Showers will then die out to give a mainly dry day. North-Westerly winds will gradually decrease to moderate through the day. The freezing level will fall to around 400 metres overnight before rising to 900 metres by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: After a dry, calm start to the day South-Westerly winds increased to strong and snow showers developed through the afternoon. The freezing level rose to around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack is well bonded, firm and stable. Localised accumulations of fresh unstable windslab are starting to develop, mostly on North to East aspects above 900 metres. Accumulations are generally shallow and mainly affecting wind sheltered areas such as gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard is Low.
