Forecast Snow Stability: The snow cover will continue to thaw and soften, isolated instabilities possible on steep terrain but otherwise the remaining snow will be well bonded and stable. Any cornice will be prone to collapse. Greatest amounts of snow will be above 900 metres, below this altitude cover will be very patchy. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Becoming mild again with the freezing levels rising well above the summits. Expected to be cloudy but mostly dry. Strong winds will be mostly from the West-South-West. Observed Weather Influences: Cold overnight but freezing levels were rising during the day, 0 degrees celsius at 900 metres by midday. Very little new snowfall. Moderate South-Westerly winds by early afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: Overnight, the snowpack slowly thawed with further snow loss, particularly at lower levels. As the freezing level dropped, surface layers have firmed up, becoming well bonded and stable snow throughout. Coverage is still reasonable above 900 metres with greatest amounts on North-West through North to East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
