Avalanche Activity

Snow is scarce, and creepers may start to creep in places.

On the steepest slopes, a small creep of new snow can be triggered. Strong north-easterly winds will build drifts - on steep slopes we may trigger a small avalanche of dry snow. Even small avalanches can cause a loss of balance and a fall into an abyss.

Snowpack Structure

Snow is scarce in the mountains. Since Thursday, up to 30 cm of new dry snow has fallen with light to moderate north-easterly winds. Small snow drifts are forming close to the ridges.
