Avalanche Activity

The fresh snow and the wind slabs formed during the snowfall represent the main danger. The snowpack will become weakly bonded in particular on steep shady slopes. Weak layers in the old snowpack can still be released in isolated cases especially here.

Snowpack Structure

The fresh snow and the extensive wind slabs can be released in some cases in particular on northeast to northeast to northwest facing aspects above approximately 1900 m.
