Highlights

New snow and wind slabs above approximately 2000 m. The new snow of the day before yesterday can be released easily, or, in isolated cases, naturally in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. Loose snow avalanches and slab avalanches are still to be expected. To some extent dry avalanches can also be triggered in deep layers and reach large size in particular on steep northeast, west facing slopes.

Avalanche Activity

New snow and wind slabs above approximately 2000 m. The new snow of the day before yesterday can be released easily, or, in isolated cases, naturally in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. Loose snow avalanches and slab avalanches are still to be expected. To some extent dry avalanches can also be triggered in deep layers and reach large size in particular on steep northeast, west facing slopes.

On steep shady slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain avalanches are possible, even large ones. Below approximately 2000 m medium-sized moist loose snow avalanches are possible.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack remains unstable over a wide area. Shady slopes where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are especially dangerous.
