Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be quite well bonded.

The new snow of the last few days has settled to a large extent in all aspects. The new snow and wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2500 m. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls the danger of dry avalanches is a little higher. Below approximately 2200 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. In some localities a little new snow: The avalanche danger will persist.

Snowpack Structure

The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust only at high altitudes. Over a wide area only a little snow is lying. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. The old snowpack is faceted, especially on steep shady slopes.
