Forecast Snow Stability: Unstable windslab will continue to build on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. Deepest deposits will be in wind-sheltered locations, such as corrie rims and gully tops, where avalanches are likely. Fragile cornices will build above the same aspects. Below this level the snowpack will be generally well consolidated and stable. Wind exposed slopes will be mostly scoured. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: A mainly dry day with only occasional light precipitation is expected. Overnight the freezing level will be around 350 metres, rising to 600 metres during the day. Strong North-North-West winds overnight will become light, strengthening South-Westerly, then South by the end of the period. Observed Weather Influences: Continual precipitation, heavy at times, eased towards the end of the day. Overnight this fell as snow to all levels. Freezing level initially at glen level rose, to fluctuate around 500 metres. Gale force winds, initially West-South-West, then North-North-West. ObservedSnowStability: Unstable windslab has become more widespread, building on North-East to South-East aspects above 700 metres. Areas most affected are wind sheltered locations such as corrie rims, gully tops and burn lines. Below 500 metres the snowpack has become consolidated and moist. Better stability on wind exposed slopes, which are mostly scoured. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
