Moist and wet avalanches are the main danger.
The conditions are spring-like. In some localities increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. More mostly small natural moist avalanches are possible, in particular on steep sunny slopes. Intermediate and high altitudes: Avalanches can in some places be released in the old snowpack on steep shady slopes. These avalanche prone locations are rare and are therefore barely recognisable.
Snowpack Structure
The conditions are spring-like. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack especially at low and intermediate altitudes. Less snow than usual is lying. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
