In particular on very steep sunny slopes mostly small moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation, in particular below approximately 2700 m. In the last two days rather small wind slabs formed in particular at elevated altitudes. The fresh wind slabs can in isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.
10 to 20 cm of snow fell on Friday above approximately 2200 m. New snow is lying on a hard crust. The cold fresh snow of Friday and the mostly small wind slabs have bonded well with the old snowpack. Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. In the last few days hardly any more avalanches occurred naturally. Faceted weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes.
The avalanche danger will persist.
