Avalanche hazard will remain elevated as heavy snow and strong winds continue into Wednesday.
No recent avalanche activity has been reported. However, we expect a natural avalanche cycle to occur overnight Tuesday and potentially into Wednesday with forecast snowfall and winds.

As much as 80 cm of recent storm snow continues to be redistributed by strong southerly winds. Deep deposits of wind-loaded snow can be found in lee features, while south-facing terrain continues to be scoured by recent winds.
New snow is reportedly well bonded to an underlying crust.
Treeline snow depth is roughly 80 cm, however, snow depths overall remain highly variable.

Cloudy with 20 to 30 cm of snow, south alpine wind 70 to 80 km/h, treeline temperature -3 °C.
Wednesday
Cloudy with 5 to 15 cm of snow, southwest alpine wind 50 to 60 km/h, treeline temperature -7 °C.
Thursday
Cloudy with 10 to 20 cm of snow, southeast alpine wind 50 to 70 km/h, treeline temperature -4 °C.
Friday
Mostly cloudy with 2 to 10 cm of snow, southwest alpine winds 20 to 30 km/h, treeline temperature -8 °C.
